At the beginning of March, we set out to find the BEST fish fry in the Milwaukee-area. After nominations flooded in from Facebook and Instagram, we made our own little "bracket" for you to VOTE and help us make the final decision.
The final round came between Doc's on the Fox in Waterford and The Stillery in Richfield. While the voting was close, The Stillery walked away with the victory. We went out to the restaurant earlier this week to film a little feature and find out for ourselves if they were worth the hype. Turns out...they are. Yeah, you might have to drive a little ways if you're not in and around Richfield, but it's worth it. The cars in the parking lot at 11AM on a Tuesday should be the first sign that it's good food. The staff was super friendly, and Chef Jorge even went out of his way to make us a fish fry on a day they normally don't offer it. *insert drooling emoji here*
The Stillery offers a wide variety of food, as well as their own Whiskey Club. Back to the fish fry: the menu is served Wednesdays and Fridays and include their fish tacos, classic cod, clam chowder, shrimp dinner and more! The classic cod is served with coleslaw, tartar sauce and salted rye bread stick. You also get your choice of fries or house made potato pancakes (with homemade applesauce...amazing!).
