Shan's Weekend in Pictures: 5/7

It was a great Mother's Day weekend full of fun activities. The fun kicked off with my best friend graduating from WCTC as a Dental Hygienist! She's gone back to school a few times, but I feel like this occupation is fit for her. If I ever have teeth questions, I go to her. Even as a kid, she was super diligent about flossing between her braces. It would take her between 30-45 minutes some nights to get ready for bed because she wanted to make sure she got every little piece of metal clean so she didn't get cavities! Very proud of and excited for her! So, we'll celebrate in Mexico next week!

Adam and I had a "date night" after Jessi's graduation party. We don't get to hang out with each other that much because we work quite a bit, so we try to make it a habit to have at least one "main" dinner together. We always have so much fun, and it's always the highlight of my week.

Next up: Mother's Day! We started off by going to church with my parents - and surprise! My grandma was able to come along with a few members of my extended family. We made sure to all get pictures with Grandma and the grandkids, as well as grandma and her kids.

After that, my parents and Adam and I went to the Odyssey to celebrate my mom at breakfast! A few skillets, tequila sunrises and solid conversation. I always look forward to hanging out with my parents because it feels "like the old days" when the three amigos would be together after my brother and sister moved out (just with a new member - Adam!)! Can you say spoiled?

After breakfast, we shot down to Chicago to celebrate with Adam's parents! We went to a restaurant called Seasons 52, which is his mom's favorite. That family always seems to make friends wherever they go...even if it's with our waiter! We had quite a few laughs...and a few bottles of wine. Overall, it was a great, busy weekend!
