Wisconsin Bakery Brings Back Brandy Old Fashioned Kringle for 70th Birthday

The Kringle is a Wisconsin staple. Most would say cheese is our claim to fame, but you could make a good argument for the kringle.

Brought to the state by Danish immigrants it’s been a staple of coffee tables and post church brunch since the early 1950’s.That’s around the time Christian Olesen started the O&H Danish Bakery in Racine. They now currently have five locations in Racine, Sturtevant and Oak Creek and bake around 7,000 kringle a day.

The bakery is now run by the third and fourth generation of the Olesen family, Racine's O&H makes arguably the state’s best kringle in a cornucopia of flavors.

This year is the bakery's 70th anniversary and O&H is celebrating with a birthday bash and fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be live music, free activities for the kids, and of course, lots and lots of kringle!

For this special occasion not only will O&H serve up a ginormous kringle shaped like the number 70, it will also bring back its brandy old fashioned kringle for one day only!
