This week's "First Responder Friday" was nominated by Nikki Flegner from Milwaukee. Here's what she had to say about her brother, Phil:
"My brother Phil (25years old from Menomonee Falls) has spent the last 3+ years out in Granby Colorado working as a member of the Granby Fire and EMS Department. Along with being a Fire/EMS member Phil also works at The Ranch as a member of the Ski Rescue team. During the summer months (wildfire season) Phil has spent much of his time in California fighting massive wildfires we have hard so much about. Before leaving for Colorado Phil spent years as a volunteer firefighter(and EMT) for the Menomonee Falls/Lannon Fire/EMS Department. As a family we are hopeful Phil will be moving back home after "fire season" to continue and complete paramedic school while continuing to work in the fire rescue industry. He is very deserving of this nomination and always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Stay Safe and Thank You Phil!"
