Brewers player honors Vegas Shooting victims at Spring Training

Brewers pitching prospect Bubba Derby was there when a maniac opened fire on thousands in Vegas at the Route 91 Harvestfestival.  He will always remember the 58 victims who died in the mass shooting  The 23 year old survived the massacre and plans to honor those who weren’t as lucky as he enters spring training with the Milwaukee Brewers. 

According to TMZ, Derby will wear a glove with “58 strong” inscribed on it to honor each of the people who died when a gunman opened fire over the crowd of 20,000 at the county music festival. 

“They will never be forgotten,” the pitcher tells the site.

During the shooting, Derby used his body to shield two women in the crowd from incoming bullets.

He adds he plans to wear the glove for the 2018 season and every season after.
