College Consensus surveyed students from across the U.S. to come up with their list of the Top 10 Most Haunted Colleges in America. They compiled the list "by looking for colleges that not only have a substantial history of ghost stories attached to them, but for those that embrace their status as the most haunted colleges in America."
I'm a little shocked no Georgia Colleges made the list but a few Alabama schools did! Smith College, formed in 1871, has had a lot of time to develop some ghost stories. Their most famous ghosts are a British soldier and an American girl, they fell in love in a stair case of one of the school halls they'd secretly meet up in, so the legend goes. The two can still be seen together on campus near the hall.
