New study shows benefits of a four-day workweek

How much did you enjoy that extended weekend? Don't you feel like you were able to get so much done but also have time for relaxing or fun? It's amazing what just one extra day can do. Imagine what it would be like if we always had a four-day work week! There's a new study that was done that may have employers thinking seriously about it. According to mashable.com, researchers in Iceland have been studying the benefits of a four-day workweek from 2015 and 2019 and the results were not surprising. They found that employees were not only happier and healthier working four days, but they were also more productive.

There were two trials and in each case they dropped from 40 hours a week to 35 or 36, with no reduction in pay, and participants came from all sectors including offices, preschools, social service providers and hospitals. In all cases productivity either remained the same or even increased and they felt less stressed and burned down and had a better work-life balance. All of that sounds great to me! Would you support a four-day work week? You can read more at mashable.com.
