I think we have such an awesome zoo and with the brand new elephant space, Adventure Africa, it's only fitting that we'd be able to get another elephant! The Milwaukee County Zoo is excited to welcome Belle to their elephant herd! She joins our zoo from Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in South Carolina. Hopefully she can adjust to our winters! :) Belle is 38 which is so cool because Ruth and Brittany, our current MKE elephants, are 38 as well! The Elephant Care team at the Milwaukee Zoo have a fun time ahead of them as they help get Belle settled in with Ruth and Brittany. I think that would be so cool to watch how they accept a new member into the herd. Welcome Belle! We're excited to have you!
