Make It Through Monday - Your Life Matters Carved In WI Corn Maze

Hopefully by now you've seen this story shared but if not I'm happy to be the one to pass it along for my Make It Through Monday moment, powered by Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts. Every year a farm in Wisconsin picks a theme to carve into their corn maze. The theme usually has some meaning to the family and unfortunately Julie and John Govin lost a family member to suicide six months ago and knew they wanted to use the corn maze to share an important message. Their corn maze at Govin's Meats and Berries is an annual tradition that people look forward to in the Chippewa Valley. In the past they've carved the Packers logo and even Garth Brooks. This year though they carved "Your Life Matters" and the suicide prevention hotline number. They were worried about it being too much of a downer while people tried to celebrate the season but knew sharing the message was just too important and thought if it can save just one life then it will be worth it.

They knew it was about more than just getting people to their farm and I think as a business owner that is a really impressive move to make. You can read more about this story from WQOW.com
