Make It Through Monday - Hydrate the Homeless

Today's Make It Through Monday moment, powered by Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts, is about a local women from Glendale and her campaign called "Hydrate the Homeless" which collects water for those who may not have access to clean water. Amber Parham's "Hydrate the Homeless" is in its fifth year and having its most successful year yet. So far she has collected more than 64,000 water bottles all of which have been collected from donations. "Hydrate the Homeless" received its largest donation ever from Festival Foods and Rodac Construction which was more than 30,000 bottles! The water bottles will be provided to different homeless outreach groups and shelters in the Milwaukee area.

This past weekend Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts celebrated its annual Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Premier where they debut hundreds of new Christmas ornaments! Weird to be talking about Christmas ornaments in July but I know people wait all year for this weekend at Winkie's! As you know they're not just for Christmas either. There's specialty ones for Harry Potter fans, Star Wars fans, etc. I bought one for my hair stylist that was a little porcelain blow dryer! It was so cute! Some of these ornaments are so exclusive they don't even make it through the weekend though so you'll want to head into Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts as soon as possible to check them all out! Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts is located on the corner of Silver Spring and Lake Drive in Whitefish Bay!
