As you know Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts is one of my favorite places. Their store is beautiful and always filled with items chosen with their customers in mind. They are also a store that gives back to the community and our country as well. You've heard me mention it before but Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts is a 3rd generation family run business and John, who joins me on Facebook leading us through the store and showing us the great things they have to offer, is that 3rd generation. He has previously served in the armed forces and his wife Kristina was just recently over seas as well in United Arab Emirates serving our country for about nine months. When I went in to do our monthly Facebook Live last month I got the exciting news that Kristina was coming home just before Memorial Day weekend! At that time their kids didn't know though so John and Kristina planned to surprise them! Their older son is just too smart and caught on but their young daughter was still not aware so they planned to show up at school one day and surprise her! I asked John if they'd be willing to share such a special moment in their lives with us and was grateful he said yes! This might be one of my most favorite Make It Through Monday Moments, powered by Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts, I get to share with you. I could watch Military homecoming videos over and over again and they still get me every time. Just seeing the joy on their faces after getting to see each other for the first time after such a long time apart could lift anyone's spirits on a Monday afternoon. Thank you so much to John and Kristina for serving our country and sharing this beautiful moment in their lives with us.
