This week's "First Responder Friday" was nominated by Martina from Jackson. Here's what she had to say about Kory from Jackson Volunteer Fire Department:
"My son took a while before realizing his calling in life. He started out working on farms. From there he got his CDL & drove semi. After moving to Jackson, WI, he decided to join the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department. In an effort to provide for his son & girlfriend, he works a 40+ week at Gator Transit in addition to his duties with the department. When he 1st joined, he was just a recruit with no usable certifications. Since then he has acquired his Fire Fighter 1 with Hazmat Ops certification & EMT Basics. He has also acquired other certifications. He is currently in school for Advanced EMT. He will then proceed to Pump Operator school. He has found that he really loves what he is doing. He feels like he's making an impact on people's lives. He is passionate about his involvement. I'm proud to be his mom!"
Thanks for all of the incredible work you do, Kory!
