Jana Kramer set the record straight after noticing “some headlines” about COVID-19 spreading among her family at her wedding earlier this month.

The country artist, author, actress and podcast host spoke about her wedding in the first of a two-part episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer that premiered this week. Kramer, 40, married Scottish former soccer star Allan Russell, 43, at Carnell Estate in Scotland on July 13. Kramer, joined by Russell, said she was worried about people getting sick.

“Just to clarify since I saw some headlines,” Kramer wrote on her Instagram story with a clip from her Whine Down episode with Russell, Kristen Brust and Kathryn Woodard. “I don’t know if the kids had COVID…I know they had croup cause that’s what they usually always get sick with. It was only AFTER everyone was home in the states that my Dad tested positive which is then why I said what they might have also had…also, by wedding day no fevers…just coughs and happy kids.”

Kramer’s intimate wedding day with Russell included her three children: Jolie, 8, and Jace, 5, whom she shares with her ex-husband, and Roman James Russell, her baby she shares with her new husband. Russell’s teen son, Troy, also attended the intimate ceremony with the family. The newlyweds have since shared stunning photos of their wedding day and honeymoon in Italy. Kramer wrote as she shared a few photos on Instagram, Never stop believing in fairy tales….because they actually do come true,” and quoted lyrics to a track from her 2015 album, “Love love love I still believe in you.”
