Miranda Lambert is “gonna keep the party goin in Vegas,” she announced on Thursday morning (December 1) as she added new dates to her Las Vegas Residency, Velvet Rodeo. The award-winning country artist shared a clip on her social media channels, wearing a black jumpsuit decked in shimmering fringe. Tambourine in hand, Lambert sang one of the fan-favorite anthems that she included on her 15-track album Palomino, and on The Marfa Tapes, which she released with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall in 2021.

Geraldene, Geraldene/ Why you gotta make me mean/ Don't make me cause a scene now, Geraldene/ Geraldene, Geraldene/ You get 'em all on their knees/ But you can't take a man from me/ Geraldene”

Lambert announced Velvet Rodeo earlier this year, naming the residency after a lyric in another Palomino song, “Actin’ Up.” Lambert told host Amy Brown at her iHeartCountry LIVE show at her Nashville bar in April that she’s “built a career on being feminine and still keeping a bada** edge, and I think that’s important and I felt like Velvet Rodeo would encompass that. …(Velvet Rodeo) felt like my catalog as a whole, and it’s a line in the new song and it just felt very Vegas to me.”

The “If I Was A Cowboy” superstar kicked off her high-energy residency at Zappos Theater in September. The jaw-dropping highlights Lambert shared offered glimpses of the “one-of-a-kind” experience. See Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo dates online, and see her announcement here:
