More than half of Americans think that splitting the bill on a first date is acceptable. In fact 56% (according to OnePoll on behalf of Affirm) believe it should be split. However, 68% of Americans believe their date should offer to pay the full thing. It's only polite, right?! The study found that people spent the most money on food and gifts when it comes to dating.
The survey was conducted in reference on first dates, but what about when you're in a relationship or married? Do you split the bill if you have separate accounts, or does one person usually pay? The things we find ourselves questioning these days!
