Here are the Most Common Lottery Numbers

We all have major plans on what we'd do with our money if we'd win the lottery, right? Shan would pay off her student loans and maybe buy a boat or a house; Scott would take a lavish vacation - specifically Ireland to see his roots; Ridder would buy a couple of cabins. Nonetheless, we're all pulling for each other but the likelihood of any of us winning those mega millions is less than we'd like to admit.

BUT - there is a chance! If you're planning on "pressing your luck" this week, we've got a few tips on how to pick your numbers. A lot of people choose digits that are significant in their lives - ie birthdays, anniversaries and whatever else.

However, Reader's Digest suggests picking the most common lottery numbers. The most common Mega Ball number is 22.

Numbers to stay clear of when choosing your first five numbers: 21, 36, 5, 51 and 50 because they seem pretty unlucky.

The most common Mega Millions numbers drawn since October 31, 2017 are 22, 11, 9, 10 and 19. You could also go with 4, 14 and 20.

Is Powerball more your style? Go with these numbers: 32, 61, 53, 69, 64, 3, 21, 27 and 62.

Finally, the website suggests it might benefit you if you live in the Midwest! So, we got that going for us, I guess. Wisconsin sits at number 6 on the list for the top-winning lottery states.
