Do You Prefer Delivery or Picking Up Your Takeout?

When it comes to takeout, do you prefer delivery or picking up your own food? Shannen argues with her husband about this often because she thinks it's not worth the extra ten bucks plus tip for someone to deliver the food. She'd rather drive the ten minutes to the restaurant, pick it up while saving the money and get the food faster.

Her husband, Adam, on the other hand, says convenience is KEY, and especially during the winter months, he'd much rather prefer to pay a few extra bucks for someone to deliver the food.

What's your take on this? According to Upserve, 60% of consumers order delivery or takeout once a week - and 31% say they use third-party delivery services at least twice a week.

57% of millennials say that they have restaurant food delivered so they can watch movies or TV shows at home.

The other findings from this article are super interesting. Including the fact that delivery sales could rise an annual average of more than 20% by 2030...

Obviously, delivery and online ordering has gone up since COVID started. There was an 840% increase in weekly sales via online ordering from February to April of last year.
