How do you keep an active toddler having fun when they can't go the park, zoo or any sort of place other kids are?

For me, a kid that grew up exploring the woods in northern Wisconsin, it's easy. Return to where I grew up, the woods. Plus when the sun is shining and you live in a place where half the year it’s cloudy and freezing you have to get outside! AS a dad of a boy that loves being outside and exploring nature I feel it's my job to continue to fan the flame of outdoor curiosity that my little guy has.
