Coronavirus concerns close MPS until April 14th.
On Friday, Governor Tony Evers ordered that all public and private schools close starting this Wednesday. For MPS alone, this involves around 76,000 students and more than 10,000 employees. Obviously, the worry sets in regarding kids and how some of them will get their meals.
Starting today (Monday, March 16th), 20 distribution sites across the city will open five days a week from 11AM-1PM, giving students daily learning materials and meals. They'll receive a lunch for the current day, and a lunch for the next day. Click here for more information on that.
