City Lounge in Cudahy is hosting a "Friends" Pop Up Bar through the end of November to celebrate the sitcom's 25th Anniversary. I had a chance to visit it last week with Adam...and I have to say: I was impressed! I guess I was just expecting a setup of Central Perk, but they actually had an area with Joey and Chandler's apartment, as well as Monica's apartment - with the balcony overlooking New York!
They also had Friends-themed drinks, and I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting the Smelly Cat...because it sounds like a mojito, but Adam and I shared Monica's Tiki Death Punch which came in a fishbowl...it was delicious! A little sweet, but just what we needed.
I'd suggest you PIVOT on over to City Lounge because it's definitely worth some time to check it out. We went on a weeknight, so there wasn't many people there which allowed us to take a few photos (except on the iconic orange couch because there was a group of girls hanging there pretty much all night...I'm a little bitter, but I also didn't ask if they'd be willing to move for a minute, so I could get a picture...).
