Fun fact: I graduated from college with a concentration in TV Production, but I fell in love with radio during my internship with the station I grew up listening to (what up, Kiss 98.5!). I also really enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to get ready because close to nobody would see me.
I still like doing on camera work, so I was super excited when Sara from FOX6 emailed me to see if I wanted to fill in on Real Milwaukee! This morning, I got to work with Stephanie Barichello (who you hear doing the fantastic weather reports on our station), Kim Murphy (what a flipping GEM she is!), and Cassandra McShepard (this woman's energy is contagious. I want to bottle up her hustle).
(Also - I'm now mad at myself that I didn't buy a lottery ticket ....)
We got along so well that I asked the ladies if I could grab them for a quick podcast after! So they welcomed me onto their show/station, and I welcomed them to Women Crushing It Wednesday!
We talked about drunk food we love (which was also a topic on Real Milwaukee), how we got our starts in the broadcasting industry & where it's taken us, and how social media can sometimes be a little too much.
