This week's "First Responder Friday" was nominated by Nicole Hust from Hartford. Here's what she had to say about Luke Switalski from the City of Brookfield Police Department:
"Luke is one of my best friends from high school. His dad was a firefighter and he knew he wanted to work in that same line if work so went to school for law enforcement. We are not as close of friends as we used to be but I'm so incredibly proud of his career so far! Him and his partner recently were first on the scene of a fire and knew they didn't have time to wait for the fire department to arrive. They rushed in and pulled a woman out of the burning building and saved her life! He is just in the beginning of his career but has already made such a positive impact in the community. I'm so proud to call him a friend of mine!"
