Shan's Weekend in Pictures - 11/21

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Mine was just peachy, and for once, it didn't seem like it went too quickly! My family has celebrated Thanksgiving the past two years at my sister's house in Illinois with my brother-in-law's family.

I'll have you know that YES - I did bring a dish to pass, despite my sister's beliefs of me actually doing that or not (haha). I even tried the corn sou flee thing that a lot of listeners said I should make for Friendsgivings! It was SO easy and actually really good! You basically take corn bread mix, creamed corn, kernel corn, sour cream and an egg - mix it all together and bake it. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, my brother, sister-in-law and niece were unable to make it this year. Don't feel too bad for them, though - it was because they were coming back from Disney World.

Back to Thanksgiving, my sister and brother-in-law always do a great job of hosting. However, here's the thing that always has to happen at any family occasion for us: fooseball. After my predictable 30 minute post-Thanksgiving meal nap, I took on my sister and dad. Your's truly won both, so of course, I have to brag a little.

After a little shopping on Friday (pretty much the first time I've gone shopping with a purpose), I had a chance to meet my friend's new puppy, Dez. I took the little bugger for an hour and showed him around Lake Michigan. You KNOW I had to take a few pictures. This handsome fella.

It was a day of the animals. Before meeting up with my friend Kayla for dinner - side note: we were supposed to go to a movie but instead spent five hours talking in Applebee's. Whoops! - I had to stop on my former roommate's apartment (you might know her as Kasey) to check on her cat, Doc. Usually, I'll send her a picture to let her know that he's still alive, and this is what I came up with.

The rest of the weekend didn't have much else going on aside from the fact that I worked the Admirals game on Saturday which ended in an incredible shootout. In case you missed that...

On Sunday night, Adam and I spent most of our time at the rink, so he could catch up on stuff. I had a bunch of photos to edit, so we locked ourselves in that place and got work done. This picture was about the halfway point when we figured out that we were crazy. So, we took a break and went to the Christkindlmarket for a little bit.
