This week's "First Responder Friday" was nominated by Laura Carlson from Greendale. Here's what she had to say about Toby Carlson from the North Shore Fire Department:
"I am nominating my husband Toby Carlson, because he is the hardest working person I've ever met. He is dedicated to helping others both on and off shift. He is brave, honest and not afraid to stand up for what is right. He always puts others before himself and is constantly helping others. He loves working for the fire department and has earned his success with hard effort, several degrees including the Natinal Fire Executive Officer Degree, a positive attitude, and a selfless approach to life. He is also a wonderful husband, father, coach, and teacher to new firefighters. He is strong physically and mentally and motivates us all to do our best. He is an exceptional role model to young children, teenagers, cadets, firefighters and adults. He helps keep our community safe and deserves to be recognized. I'm blessed to have him in our lives."
