Women Crushing It Wednesday: Kalie Shorr

This week for Women Crushing It Wednesday, this lady in black stopped by ... Kalie Shorr!

You might know her song "Fight Like A Girl", and recently Kalie performed at the Walmart on W Greenfield Road for the "Road to the CMA Awards" Tour. For this particular stop, our friend Jimmie Allen was on it with her! She performed a ton of her songs, including "Candy" (sorry my iPhone 6 takes terrible video ... but at least she sounds great!).

Kalie has a very Taylor Swift-like sweetness about her, and I love the stories her songs tell (especially "Big Houses" that you can check out below). Not only does she perform her own songs at her shows, but she ALSO does covers .... like TLC's "Waterfalls" that made my whole day (she KILLS the rap part too). Kalie is doing big things in Nashville, and she loves to support her friends who are as well like Cassadee Pope and Carly Pearce (see .... she has that Taylor Swift thing about her for sure! Love women supporting other women).

OH! And speaking of women supporting women .... the ladies of Little Big Town, Kimberly & Karen, gave Kalie a shout out at the CMT Artists of the Year event. If you haven't watched their speech yet, you need to stop what you're doing right now and see it below. It still gives me chills watching it after like the 10th or 11th time. I geek out over hearing the names of all of the wonderful & talented ladies that I've had on my Women Crushing It Wednesday podcast mentioned, including Abby Anderson, Tenille Townes, Clare Dunn, and now Kalie.

Kalie & I talked about her celebrity crush (hopefully Superman himself listens and picks up the phone ... unless he is dating someone/married ... in that case jkjk), what ladies she is loving right now in the country music industry, and what band she would love to do a CMT Crossroads with (girlfriend was ready to go with this answer immediately, and it would be ... excuse my French ... SO BAD ASS!).

You can also search An Energy Bar In A Headband on our iHeartRadio app under Podcasts, and listen to it there.
