If you haven't watched "The Handmaid's Tale" on Hulu ... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
Usually I'm a big fan of reading the book first, but I can honestly tell you with this one ... skip it. The show is SO much better, and a lot less confusing.
I'm assuming the people over at this online store, Yandy, have never watched the show, because if they had... they would know this was a terribleeeee idea.
They had a sexy Handmaid's costume up on their website. Now, let's recap... "The Handmaid's Tale" is about how fertile women are put into homes to basically reproduce with men whose wives cannot get pregnant. It's messed up, it's disgusting, and this costume to me screams WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA THOUGH?!?
After a ton of backlash, Yandy took the costume down and issued this statement on Twitter .... NOT YOUR INTENTION?!?
C'mon brah ....
