Well THAT title sounds much dirtier than it actually is!
This past weekend, I experienced my first Country Thunder ... and it was AMAZING! We got a little wet, but that didn't stop us from having a great time together!
(Chelsey from our sister station, 96.3 Star Country in Madison, and Shannen O from our Morning Show)
I never really geek out over meeting celebrities. I've been in the radio business for 10 years, and it's only happened 3 times in the past decade. The first time was when I just started at the Top 40 station in my hometown, Buffalo, NY, where the Goo Goo Dolls are from. Everyone is pretty obsessed with them there, myself included. So meeting Johnny Rzeznik (the lead singer) was a huge deal! Second time was Maren Morris last summer when she opened for Sam Hunt at the show I went to in Denver. And the third time happened this past weekend.
Meeting Dierks Bentley was a dream come true. What an incredibly nice guy, and just as handsome in person too. You can see .... the look on my face says it all!
(CHECK OUT THE KOOZIE TOO!)
*Shout out to Ashley McBryde & Brothers Osborne who were also awesome on Day 2 of Country Thunder!
On Saturday, the hubs & I went to see "Sorry To Bother You" at The Times Cinema, and it was SO well done. I highly recommend you seeing it, and right now it has a 95% rating Rotten Tomatoes. This is what I like to call a BONUS VIDDDDDD!
We also went to The Vanguard in Bay View for dinner that night. We got the Vegan Chorizo Brat (Pittsburgh style) and the Veal & Onion Poutine (with cheese curds in it.... #noregrets).
This morning, I have little to no voice due to the Luke Bryan show last night at Country Thunder. My girl Chelsey and I belted his songs out at the top of our lungs.... not well, but we had fun, and that's all that matters.
Luke is always a blast, and Morgan Wallen who played at 3:45pm was SO much fun too! Brett Young brought the ballads that made the ladies weak in the knees. All in all, a great day was had!
