My Weekend: Dinosaurs, Arie Luyendyk Jr., & Kopp's

This weekend was straight up BANANAS.... but in a great way!

Saturday afternoon, we had a remote over the brand new Tri City National Bank in Waukesha where we gave away a ton of Summerfest tickets (can you believe it kicks off this Wednesday already?!). That was all well and good, but my FAVORITE part was taking a picture with their mascot... Trevor the Triceratops. Get it... because they're TRI City National Bank?! So clever.

Then, I went home real quick to clean up, and headed out to the the Kohler Grand Prix Road America IndyCar Event as a guest of Honda's. I'm usually not into this kind of thing... but it was pretty amazing! I got to take a 2-seater ride with Arie Luyendyk Jr., aka the main squeeze of many ladies on the last season of "The Bachelor".

Before we did that though, I got to sit down with Arie and chat about his upcoming wedding, and all of their planning. I wasn't sure what to expect from him to be honest, but he was very nice and didn't take himself too seriously which I liked. He even poked fun at his "Bachelor" experience, and Mario Andretti even crashed our interview (yes, THAT Mario Andretti). You can watch my whole interview with Arie here!

Once the interview was over, it was time to jump in the car! Arie said it would go anywhere between 150 to 200 MPH, and I was stoked! However, as soon as he started to drive off, I had second thoughts.... but then about 10 seconds passed, and I was on Cloud 9. It was genuinely one of the coolest flipping experiences on my whole life. I think I sweat off half of my body weight because of that suit AND nerves... totally worth it!

After my crazy day on Saturday slowed down, we went over to Kopp's for some ice cream. It was our first time going, and our milkshakes were SO good! My husband got a rootbeer one, and I got pineapple (with actual chunks of fruit in it... YUM!). I also got a cheeseburger because I was getting a little hangry, and let me tell you... it was probably one of the best ones I've ever had at an ice cream stand like this. AND it was huge we actual romaine lettuce (I know it's really silly but it urks me when I get a burger and there's 2 pieces of wilted/gross iceburg lettuce on it... I sound like a rabbit, don't I?). I immediately peeled the pickle off right after taking this because they are evil and ruin meals.
