#TheGoodStuff: Hurricane Harvey Hero Gets a World Series Ring

Back when Hurricane Harvey was devastating Houston a local businessman came to the aid of Houston residents during the aftermath.

Jim McIngvale, known as “Mattress Mack” owner of Gallery Furniture, opened up his warehouse and store locations as shelters for those in need after the devastating storm. He also hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner that was attended by those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

“Mattress Mack” also offered a refund to customers who spent more than $3,000 on mattresses if the Astros won the World Series. Low and behold they win and $10 million in refunds were issued, according to WSB Radio.

When it came time to hand out World Series rings, Mattress Mack was not forgotten. Astros president of business operations Reid Ryan recently presented him with a ring of his very own.
