Brittany Aldean isn’t here for your shame.
During a Bahamas getaway with country star husband Jason Aldean, the new mom took to Instagram to criticize commenters who shamed the couple for vacationing without 2-month-old son Memphis.
Brittany clapped back at the parent shamers, captioning that leaving negative comments is “NOT OK.”
Much needed vacay☀️ Just a word of wisdom for all the parent shamers... vacations are ok for new parents to take. Sometimes after being pregnant for almost a year, cooped up in a house for weeks at a time, you need a little sunshine and adult time. IT IS NOT OK to leave your ignorant comments. If you don’t agree with something, PLEASE... do me a favor and unfollow me. You will NOT be missed♥️ And for all the sweet, positive, happy people... we love you and thank you!!💋💋
“Just a word of wisdom for all the parent shamers… vacations are ok for new parents to take,” she captioned a photo of the pair on the beach. “Sometimes after being pregnant for almost a year, cooped up in a house for weeks at a time, you need a little sunshine and adult time.”
The negativity rolled in after Brittany posted a picture on herself a private plane looking at an image of little Memphis and captioning “Haven’t even left Nashville and I miss him so much it hurts.”
While some bashed the new mom for being away from her baby others attached Memphis’s mom poses in scantily clad swimwear.
Despite all the haters, the consensus from fans commenting on photos from Jason Aldean and his bride’s recent vacation in the Bahamas is that Memphis’ mom's post-baby body looks better than ever!
“Are e u sure u just had a baby, you look amazing,” @joannmore5138 writes.
@jenniferandjordyn chimes in with a similar response in the comments’ section, writing “So insane to think you just had a baby and you look so amazing!”
Brittany isn’t the first country parent to call out mommy shamers.
Jana Kramer did it when Internet trolls criticized her for her choice of baby food.
