Here's How to Get Yourself on 'Fixer Upper'

If you've ever dreamed of being on an HGTV show...specifically "Fixer Upper," if you're like Shannen...Here's the three things you must comply with:

1) Your "Fixer Upper" home must be within 40 miles of Waco.

So, who wants to go in on a vacation home in Texas? Honestly, if it turns out anything like the silos or how Chip and Joanna decorated their own Bed and Breakfast, I'd be willing to take the leap.

2) You must have a minimum of $30,000 to spend on renovations.

I feel like that's not even that outlandish. It takes probably $8,000 to redo the bathroom and $10,000+ to redo the kitchen, right? You can begin to see how quickly the costs add up! And you don't want to skimp and regret your decisions!

3) Designers and producers have final say.

This is in the design of your home. Once again - I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. They'd have better taste than I ever would, but at the same time - they might also push your boundaries. There has never been an episode where I'm like, "No, I absolutely hate that house. Take it back!"

So, about that Texas Vacation Home...you in?
