Participants were instructed to perform various tasks while taking a quiz, including reminding researchers not to forget their keys and remembering to move from one task to another at a pre-specified time. Scoring was based on how much prompting participants needed to complete the random tasks while taking the quiz, with those in the rosemary room exhibiting better memory skills overall. Researchers believe the secret to rosemary’s memory-boosting power is in the eucalyptol, which is absorbed in the blood with every breath, triggering the brain’s memory systems. (Women's Health)
