Women Crushing It Wednesday: Lindsay Ell

When I first started my Women Crushing It Wednesday podcast, there were a few female country artists I had in mind that I needed to interview for it. Lindsay Ell was definitely one of them, and I have literally been trying to plan out this podcast with her record rep Stan for about 6 months.

I was so excited to finally get to talk to her this past weekend! I am such a fan of her album "The Continuum Project" (a complete cover album of John Mayer's album "Continuum"), and I love jamming out (in the car, not in real life) to her song "Criminal".

I knew that Lindsay was an amazing guitar player, but seeing her live at the Red Rock Saloon on Friday night at our St. Jude Jam blew me away! She has incredible stage presence, and she is as nice as she is talented.

We talked about her new song with Brantley Gilbert that we'll be premiering this Friday, what she has to have with her when she flies, and what ladies in the country music industry she loves (we geeked out over our mutual love for Shania Twain because IF YOU DON'T LOVE SHANIA, JUST GO HOME ALREADY).

You can listen below, or search for "An Energy Bar In A Headband" under Podcasts on our free iHeartRadio app!

I also have to add what a freaking gem Lindsay was at our St. Jude Radiothon. She walked into our studio at 2pm on Friday, and we figured we were going to do a quick interview on how much she loves St. Jude. Well, Stan (her record rep) was with her, and he immediately jumped on board to become a Partner In Hope ($20/month that goes to St. Jude). Lindsay then did the same, and so did our boss Kerry. AND ON TOP OF THAT, she jumped on the phones to collect donations. A true gem, I tell you, a true gem.

UPDATE: Lindsay has a new song out with Brantley Gilbert, "What Happens In A Small Town" too .... check out the lyric video below!
